Pumpkin Patch

We recently made our annual trip to the Mayse Farm Pumpkin Patch. I think this is the fourth year that we have done this. We always have a lot of fun. There is a hayride to the pumpkin patch, a big corn maze and a small one, a hay bale castle, a scary slide (scary for the parents), and hay bale maze for the little ones. We didn't get the best pictures this year. Aiden was the only one that cooperated with us. Riley wouldn't even look at the camera! Here are some pictures. Enjoy!

The scary slide. It is very steep and fast and there is a mattress at the bottom to catch kids.

The boys in the corn maze.

Riley in the maze. Riley and I got seperated from the boys. This is when we caught up to them.

We always get pics of the kids in front of this to see how much they've grown. Last year Riley wan't even standing.

Aiden

I think Aiden picked the smallest and funniest shaped pumpkin in the patch! (It looks like he is squeezing it)

Quinn on the scary slide! The kids loved this.

Sleepytime

Last night some friends watched the kids so we could go out. When Doug went to check on the boys this is what he found...

The boys had been playing secret agent and Aiden wore his "spy glasses" to bed. They're actually Riley's. I amazed they fit his head! I love pics of my kids sleeping so I decided to post some older pics.

This is Quinn when he was 2. He was worn out from the Easter Egg Hunt at Doug's parents.

Aiden and Will pretending to be siamese twins.

I guess Will didn't have enough energy to make it all the way into the chair.

I'm not sure how Riley ended up this way. We moved her eventually.

Wind Power!

I recently took a business trip up to Zeeland, MI. On the way there, I encountered a wind turbine farm just south of Gary, IN on HW 41. It was either reeeeeeaaaaally neat to see or I am just a big nerd. As I already know the latter to be true, I will leave the first point to your discretion... These pictures don't really do it justice (camera phone). There were hundreds of these things, stretching out for a least a mile or so - some were spinning and some were not. This just wasn't the type of thing I expected to see in Indiana of all places!
